Privacy Policy
Effective date: May 28, 2026
1. Introduction and Scope
This Privacy Policy explains how Madrank Digital Ltd ("Treatsphere," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, discloses, and protects information about you when you visit treatsphere.com and any related pages, content, or services that link to this Policy (collectively, the "Site").
Treatsphere operates an editorial website that publishes reviews, comparisons, and rankings of third-party telehealth brands. We are an independent publisher. We are not a healthcare provider, a pharmacy, or a telehealth platform, and we do not deliver medical care. Please also read our Terms of Service, our Affiliate and Advertising Disclosure, and our Medical Disclaimer, which govern your use of the Site together with this Policy.
By using the Site, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with it, please do not use the Site.
2. We Are Not a HIPAA Covered Entity
Treatsphere is not a "covered entity" or a "business associate" under the U.S. Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), and the information we collect through the Site is generally not protected health information (PHI) subject to HIPAA.
Please do not send us protected health information, medical records, diagnoses, or detailed descriptions of your personal health conditions. The Site is informational only and we cannot answer personal medical questions. If you choose to share health-related details with us anyway, you do so at your own risk, and that information will be handled under this Policy rather than under HIPAA.
3. Information We Collect
3.1 Information You Provide to Us
We collect information you voluntarily give us, which may include:
- Contact information, such as your name and email address, when you contact us, submit a question or correction, sign up for a newsletter, or respond to a survey.
- The content of messages, comments, reviews, or other submissions you send to us.
- Information you provide when you request a privacy right under applicable law.
3.2 Information We Collect Automatically
When you use the Site, we and our service providers automatically collect certain information through cookies and similar technologies, including:
- Device and technical information — IP address, browser type and version, operating system, device type, language settings, and screen size.
- Usage information — pages viewed, links and buttons clicked, referring and exit pages, search terms used on the Site, dates and times of access, and time spent on pages.
- Affiliate click data — when you click a link to a third-party telehealth brand, we and our measurement partners may record that the click occurred, the page it came from, and an associated identifier so that a partner can attribute the referral to us (see Section 7).
- Approximate location — a general location (such as country, state, or city) derived from your IP address. We do not collect precise GPS location.
3.3 Information From Third Parties
We may receive limited information from analytics providers, advertising partners, and affiliate networks — for example, aggregated reporting about referrals, conversions, and Site performance.
We do not intentionally collect Social Security numbers, government ID numbers, financial account numbers, or precise geolocation, and we ask that you not submit such information to us.
4. How We Use Information
We use the information described above to:
- Operate, maintain, and improve the Site and its content;
- Respond to your inquiries, corrections, and requests;
- Send communications you have requested, such as newsletters (you may opt out at any time);
- Measure and analyze traffic, engagement, and how our content performs;
- Attribute referrals to telehealth partners and reconcile affiliate, paid-placement, pay-per-click, and pay-per-call compensation;
- Personalize content and, where permitted, deliver and measure advertising;
- Detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, abuse, security incidents, and violations of our Terms of Service; and
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our rights.
5. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
We and our partners use cookies, pixels, tags, local storage, and similar technologies to operate the Site, remember your preferences, measure traffic, attribute affiliate referrals, and support advertising. For a detailed description of the categories of cookies we use and how to control them, please see our Cookie Policy.
Where required by law, we obtain consent for non-essential cookies through our cookie consent banner. You can also manage cookies through your browser settings.
6. Advertising and Analytics Partners
We work with third-party analytics and advertising companies that may set their own cookies and collect information about your activity on the Site and, in some cases, across other websites over time. These partners may currently include analytics services such as Google Analytics 4 and advertising and affiliate-network partners.
Some of this activity may be considered a "sale" or "sharing" of personal information, or processing for "targeted advertising" or "profiling," under U.S. state privacy laws. See Section 11 for your rights and how to opt out, including by using a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal.
7. Affiliate Click Tracking
Treatsphere earns compensation when users click through to, or take action with, third-party telehealth brands. To support this, when you click an outbound link to a partner, we and our affiliate-network and measurement partners may record the click, the originating page, a timestamp, and an attribution identifier (often stored in a cookie or appended to a URL).
This allows a partner to recognize that you came from Treatsphere and to compensate us accordingly. We do not receive your medical information, prescription details, or the contents of any account you create with a telehealth provider. Once you leave the Site, the third party's own privacy policy governs the information it collects.
8. How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information for money. We may, however, "sell" or "share" personal information as those terms are broadly defined by certain U.S. state privacy laws (for example, by allowing advertising cookies). We disclose information as follows:
- Service providers. We share information with vendors that perform services on our behalf — such as website hosting, analytics, email delivery, customer support, and security — under contracts that limit their use of the information.
- Advertising and affiliate partners. We share online identifiers and usage information with analytics, advertising, and affiliate-network partners as described in Sections 6 and 7.
- Legal and safety. We may disclose information to comply with law, respond to lawful requests and legal process, enforce our Terms of Service, or protect the rights, property, or safety of Treatsphere, our users, or the public.
- Business transfers. If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this Policy.
We may also share aggregated or de-identified information that cannot reasonably be used to identify you.
9. Data Retention
We retain personal information for as long as needed to fulfill the purposes described in this Policy — for example, to operate the Site, respond to inquiries, maintain records of affiliate referrals, and meet legal, accounting, or reporting requirements. When information is no longer needed, we delete it or de-identify it. Retention periods vary based on the type of information and the purpose for which it was collected.
10. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, and alteration. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You use the Site and provide information to us at your own risk.
11. Your US State Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have specific rights regarding your personal information. This Section describes those rights and how to exercise them. To submit a request, contact us at privacy@treatsphere.com or use any "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" or cookie-preferences link available on the Site. We will verify your request as required by law, typically by confirming information we already hold about you, and we do not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
You may use an authorized agent to submit a request; we may require proof of the agent's authority and verification of your identity.
11.1 California (CCPA/CPRA)
If you are a California resident, you have the right to:
- Know/Access — request the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected, the sources, the purposes, and the categories of third parties to which it was disclosed.
- Delete — request deletion of personal information we collected from you, subject to legal exceptions.
- Correct — request correction of inaccurate personal information.
- Opt out of sale and sharing — direct us not to "sell" or "share" your personal information (including for cross-context behavioral advertising). You can exercise this right through the "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" link and through our cookie-preferences tool.
- Limit use of sensitive personal information — to the extent we use any sensitive personal information beyond purposes permitted by law.
- Non-discrimination — you will not receive discriminatory treatment for exercising your rights.
Sensitive personal information. We do not seek to collect sensitive personal information, and we do not use or disclose any such information for purposes that would trigger the right to limit.
Financial incentives. We do not currently offer financial incentives or price/service differences in exchange for the collection or sale of personal information. If we introduce a program that qualifies as a financial incentive (for example, a rewards program), we will update this Policy and obtain consent as required.
Global Privacy Control. We honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signal. When we detect a GPC signal, we treat it as a valid request to opt out of the sale and sharing of personal information for that browser or device.
California residents may also request information about disclosures for direct-marketing purposes under California's "Shine the Light" law by contacting us at privacy@treatsphere.com.
11.2 Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Texas, Oregon, and Montana
If you are a resident of Virginia (VCDPA), Colorado (CPA), Connecticut (CTDPA), Utah (UCPA), Texas (TDPSA), Oregon (OCPA), or Montana (MCDPA), you may have the right to:
- Access — confirm whether we process your personal information and obtain a copy of it;
- Delete — request deletion of personal information you provided or that we obtained about you;
- Correct — request correction of inaccurate personal information (where provided by your state's law);
- Portability — obtain a copy of your personal information in a portable, readily usable format; and
- Opt out — opt out of (a) the sale of personal information, (b) processing for targeted advertising, and (c) certain profiling in furtherance of decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects.
We honor recognized universal opt-out mechanisms, including Global Privacy Control, where required by applicable state law.
Appeals. If we decline to act on your request, you may appeal that decision by replying to our response or contacting us at privacy@treatsphere.com with the subject line "Privacy Appeal." We will respond to your appeal within the time required by your state's law. If your appeal is denied, you may contact your state Attorney General to submit a complaint.
11.3 How We Respond
We will respond to verified requests within the timeframes required by applicable law (generally 45 days, with an extension where permitted). If we cannot verify your identity or are otherwise unable to act on your request, we will explain why.
12. Children's Privacy
The Site is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information to us, please contact privacy@treatsphere.com and we will take reasonable steps to delete it. We also do not knowingly process the personal information of minors under 16 for targeted advertising or sale without any consent required by law.
13. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
Some browsers offer a "Do Not Track" (DNT) setting. Because there is no common industry standard for interpreting DNT signals, the Site does not currently respond to DNT signals. We do, however, honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal as an opt-out of the sale and sharing of personal information and of processing for targeted advertising, as described in Section 11.
14. International Users and Data Location
The Site is intended for users located in the United States, and our content focuses on U.S. consumers. If you access the Site from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States, where data-protection laws may differ from those in your jurisdiction. By using the Site, you consent to that transfer and processing.
15. Third-Party Links
The Site contains links to third-party websites, including telehealth brands. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those third parties. Once you leave the Site, this Policy no longer applies. We encourage you to review the privacy policy of every third-party site you visit.
16. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Effective date" above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Your continued use of the Site after an update means you accept the revised Policy.
